Pages in this section are for pictures that don’t really fit with the Thousand Islands theme, but that someone might want to look at anyway.

Go Here for Washington State, Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula.

Equipment

I have always used Nikons, FG and F4 film cameras and then the D70 digital, and since the summer of 2006 the D200. Canon etc. also make fine cameras; I just learned on Nikon and have stuck with them.

If you’re considering a camera I recommend Amazon as I purchased my D200 through them. I do get a small percentage if you purchase through my site - it doesn’t cost you anything extra and it helps defray the costs of keeping this site up.

This is the Nikon D200, used for many of the photos on this page. The camera is expensive but it is a professional grade camera, and with some time spent learning it you can create some great images.

his is the 18-200 mm zoom lens that I use for nearly all my photography these days. It is a VR (vibration reduction) lens that allows much slower shutter speeds than a regular lens would allow for hand-held work. This is an awesome “all-around” lens to use when just out and about.
